LINDA STEIN, HAWT President and Founder. As artist-activist, lecturer, performer, as well as founding president of the non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, HAVE ART: WILL TRAVEL! Inc. (HAWT): http://haveartwilltravel.org, Linda Stein’s focus has been to encourage constructive and empowering male and female gender roles leading to Peace and Equality through the arts. As art editor of On The Issues Magazine, she has written articles highlighting sexism in the art world and moderated discussions on Masculinity/Femininity with men who are known for their books and articles on the changing male and the fluidity of gender in the 21st century.
In addition to exhibiting at Flomenhaft and lecturing at the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum, Stein has also recently shown her sculptural Knights at Casa Frela Gallery in Manhattan and at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. Her videos can be seen on YouTube and at the Logsdon 1909 Gallery in Chicago February 12-March 6, 2010.
For outdoor bronzes, in addition to private commissions, Stein has been awarded the commission for three larger-than-life Knights to be sited as the central sculpture for the $4 million Walk of the Heroines at Portland State University. Her work is also currently sited in the Adelphi University 2008-10 Biennial on Long Island.

JOSIE M. COYOC has been dancing for years as a cast member of the world-renown Pilobolus Dance Group. She attended Rutgers University, and graduated with honors and a BFA from the Boston Conservatory of Music. She had the pleasure of dancing for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company from 1993 to 1998 before joining Pilobolus Dance Theatre in the summer of 1998. She has danced, choreographed, and taught for Pilobolus all over the world ever since. She can be seen in the dance films Still/Here by Gretchen Bender, Last Dance by Mirra Banks, and the first segment of Healing and the Arts with Bill Moyers. Josie has had the thrill of dancing for the Academy Awards, Oprah, and Conan O’Brien, among others, as well as at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, City Center and the home of dance, The Joyce Theater. She is a certified Holistic Health Counselor, personal trainer, yoga and Pilates instructor, making her an ideal collaborator in working with men and women in an interactive dance performance.
KATE KENNEDY is a professional dancer with years of teaching experience. Her talent and warm personality allows an audience to feel comfortable in participating in group Body-Swapping and Dance. She is a natural-born teacher.
MICHAEL KIMMEL is among the world’s leading experts on men and masculinity. He is a Professor of Sociology at SUNY Stony Brook, and the author or editor of more than 20 books on the subject. He lectures all over the world engaging men in the struggle for gender equality. He has lectured with Linda Stein on Masculinity/Femininity at The Art Club for Have Art: Will Travel! Inc.
ELENA MANCINI earned a doctorate in German Studies at Rutgers University with a dissertation on sexual politics in early-twentieth-century Germany. She is an affiliate at the Institute for Research on Women at Rutgers University and Culture Editor for the online quarterly, Logos: A Journal for Modern Society and Culture. With her background in meditation, Elena makes Body-Swappers feel at ease in their new skin.
ROB OKUN, M.Ed., is editor and publisher of /Voice Male/ magazine, a male positive, profeminist publication (www.voicemalemagazine.org) chronicling the social transformation of masculinity. His editorials and opinion pieces have appeared in newspapers and online sites, and have been broadcast on public radio. A psychotherapist in private practice in Amherst, Massachusetts, he a justice of the peace officiating at marriages in Massachusetts and beyond. Rob and Linda Stein have presented in dialogue together on Masculinity/Femininity at The Art Club for Have Art: Will Travel! Inc.
VESSELINA PRAHCHAROV is well-known in the fashion industry for her versatility and hard work. She has been a part of such companies as Chaps/Ralph Lauren, where she designed Menswear, and Rampage, where she contributed to their lingerie collection. She has also collaborated with runway designers Tawfik Monair, Tiffany Koury, and Cynthya Steffe and boutique owner Rosie Pope. Born in Bulgaria Vesselina came to The United States in her early age. She attended Abington High School in Philadelphia and, while participating in the school’s Art Department, rediscovered her passion for drawing. Later, she attended and graduated from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City as a Bachelor in Fine Arts majoring in Fashion Design. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the industry, reflected by her stunning portfolio, which showcases her visual vocabulary. Collaboration with groundbreaking artists, designers and stylists has established her place in fashion as a prolific designer. Always searching for new ways in which to express her art, Vesselina is particularly skilled in helping participants Body-Swap with Stein sculpture.
